Merchant Services Financial Corp. offers two core Check Services programs: Traditional Check Guarantee and Electronic Check Conversion (ECC) . We are connected to several negative check files and verification systems to ensure the best possible service for our merchants. With check conversion technology, merchants can accept checks in the same manner as they would accept a credit card. CHECK GUARANTEE

Traditional check guarantee is a logical addition to any business at risk for accepting NSF or bounced checks. Guarantee service can be easily added to your existing credit card system. Checks can be manually entered or swiped through a reader for approval. Losses and fees from bounced checks can be eliminated overnight. The guarantee system verifies the check writers information against a negative file and in some circumstances, uses the ATM networks for confirming account balances. ELECTRONIC CHECK CONVERSION

Paper checks can now be accepted at the point-of-sale just like credit cards. Electronic Check Conversion can be easily added to your existing credit card system. The process is very simple and requires an imager/reader to be attached to your terminal. The paper check is passed through the reader and verified against a database of negative files and bounced check writers. A match will result in an instant decline. In some circumstances, funds can made available through supported ATM networks. If the check is approved, the paper check must be stamped "ACH Processed" and returned to your customer. The transaction is complete at this point, and will be deposited into your bank account within 72 hours, just like a regular credit card transaction. The check conversion program is supported by an online reporting reporting system, and 24-hour customer and technical support. This solution saves you accounting time, trips to the bank, accurate reporting, and most importantly - no more bounced checks.

Applications can be found online through the Interactive ISO System. There s one application for traditional paper guarantee and a different application for Electronic Check Conversion.

Paper Check Guarantee

This is the traditional form of check guarantee. The merchant slides a check through the reader, enters the driver's license #, approval code, and other pertinent information on the back of the check and deposits it in their bank account. If the check bounces a claim is processed and the amount of the bounce check is guaranteed. Several premiums are offered with this programs including "stop-payment" protection. Merchant Services Financial Corp guarantees to beat any existing merchants check rates and guarantees 10% fewer check declines than our competition. Merchant Services Financial Corp will also give each merchant who submits an application for Paper Check Guarantee a Free Check Reader!

Electronic Check Conversion

The Electronic Check Conversion program is similar to Paper Guarantee in that it protects the merchant from bounced checks. With ECC the merchant will slide a check through a check imager. The check is then processed for approval and the value of the check is automatically deposited into the merchant's checking account. The merchant never has to go to the bank to make a deposit and in a sense the check is processed just like a credit card. After the check is imaged the merchant stamps the check "ACH Processed" and hands the check back to the consumer. If the check later bounces, Merchant Services Financial Corp guarantees the value of the check just like traditional paper guarantee. Merchant Services Financial Corp's check program is unique in this industry because check images are processed through UCC and not NACHA. This allows Merchant Services Financial Corp to submit business and corporate checks through our Conversion program where our competition is unable to. In addition with the expanded collection power given through UCC we guarantee 10% fewer declines than our competition and to beat any existing check merchant's rates by 10%. The Electronic Check Conversion program offered through Merchant Services Financial Corp is the first complete and automated check conversion solution in the industry.
